Huggy is an international fashion, lifestyle and portrait artist.
With passion for Human rights. Huggy started in fashion photography after a highly successful career in modelling. Having been discovered in California by Eileen ford, the owner of New Yorks prestigious model agency, she travelled the World modelling, especially in Europe, living first in Madrid for 4 years, before settling in London in 1986.
Huggy discovered her true passions and talent for fashion and portrait photography after the birth of her daughter Olivia in London in 1988. She has since been commissioned to shoot vovers, portraits and editorials with a variety of celebrities, including most of the top supermodels of the day for many international fashion magazines, such as Marie-Claire, Elle, Vogue, Conde Nast Traveller, Arena, InStyle, The Sunday Times, Night and day, The Telegraph, Billboard, Ocean Drive, Scene, Nytt Lif and Photo.
She has shot fashion editorials, portraits and advertising campaigns for many international clients including, British Red Cross, Agent Provovateur, Vivienne Westwood, Selfridges, Virgin, Harvey Nichols, Liberty’s , Harrods and Gallery Lafayette.
Huggy has photographed and directed video profiles of many top international models and celebrities such as Claudia Schiffer, Eva Herzegova, Christy Turlington, Naomi Cambell, Linda Evangelista, David Beckham, Rio Ferdinand, David Coulthard, Kirsty Hume, Sophi Anderton, Holly Vallence, Beverly Knight, Heidi Klume, as well as commercials, music videos and a Fashion style documentary produced in Paris for Canal+
Huggy was a contributor to the acclaimed “4 inches” photography book for Sir Elton John’s Aids foundation. She wrote directed and photographed the highly successful Elite-Street look, Style and Fashion manual published internationally by Rizzolo/Virgin
She is currently in preproduction filming “Seeing the Invisable” a documentary about homosexuality and human rights in sport .Produced by OPO co-founder Ingi Thor Jonsson, presented by Gerry Devaux and Ingi Thor Jonsson. It is to be screened in Iceland with Interest already from Australia, SBS, Channel 4 and the Nordic TV-Stations.
